St. John's parishioners were in attendance on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of St. Alban the Martyr. The Church hosted a Youth and Family Summit focusing on topics and services relating to youth and families in Southeast Queens.

Topics included:
• Technology [cyber bullying]
• Youth Resolving Disputes
• After School Programs
• Internships/Job Training Opportunities
• Healthy Choices/Healthy Lifestyles
• Recreation & Sports [Youth & Adults]
• Summer Youth Employment Programs
• Quality Early Childhood Programs
• 113th Police Pct. Community Council

Presenters at the Summit included professionals in the field of education, social services, sports and recreation and our local Police Precinct in Southeast Queens.
